Ken was born and raised in southern California.  Joined the Marine Corps in 1966 at the age of 17; at 19 had completed a tour in Vietnam as an infantryman.  During his first tour at Camp Pendleton, California, he was trained in legal services.  Upon completion, he was assigned to various duty stations around the Marine Corps serving as Legal Chief, Court Reporter, Review Chief, and Admin Chief.  At the end of this career, Ken was stationed at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, served as the Legal Services Chief of approximately 77 attorneys and their related staff.  Ken retired in 1988 as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E-9).  Ken then began his second career in real estate in 1988.
